A Celebration of Historic Preservation and Restoration - Honoring The Fox Theatre's 95th Birthday

June 13, 2026 5:15 PM

Join us Saturday, June 13, 2026, as we celebrate Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre’s 95th birthday and showcase Hutchinson’s latest historic preservation project, the Meyer Landmark. Guests will begin the evening at Hutchinson's Historic Fox Theatre with a short video presentation about the Fox Theatre and Meyer Landmark restoration projects. They will then be divided into four groups and, by Motorcoach, taken from the Fox Theatre to the Meyer Landmark, fifty guests at a time, for a private tour of the lobby and apartments. The first tour will start around 6:00 PM and last approximately 30 minutes. Afterward, guests will return to the theatre for an evening of entertainment, food, drinks, and a birthday celebration. Laura Meyer Dick’s father, Nation Meyer, was a walking history of the City of Hutchinson and a supporter of historic preservation. Nation was present when the Fox Theatre first opened in 1931 and was an original member of the board for the Fox Theatre’s restoration project. Nation also attended the reopening of the restored Fox Theatre in 1999. Laura Meyer Dick, along with her husband Mike Dick, continues that legacy by restoring the historic Landmark building.
