ARTS EDUCATION COMES "BY THE BUS" AT THE FOX

Education has been an important part of the FOX's mission since its grand reopening more than 25 years ago.  Tens of thousands of students from Hutchinson and throughout Reno County have traveled to the FOX "by the bus" to take part in our highly anticipated "Informances" and workshops. Aside from the cost of transportation, there is NO OTHER EXPENSE to the schools for participation in our "By The Bus" arts-in-education opportunities.  That is made possible in large part because of the generous underwriting support we receive from the Herman, Esther and Henry Stallman Foundation.

Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog have started an epic club to teach 21 rambunctious baby frogs how to make their own comics! Their fishy father Flippy is overjoyed
that his kids will learn to unleash their creativity, but when the frogs’ constant bickering and outrageous imaginations send their comics comically off the rails,
Flippy flips out! Will the club survive? Will the frogs ever get along? And will creativity finally save the day? All will be answered in this madcap musical based on Dav Pilkey’s irreverently hilarious book series. This hilarious musical adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man spin-off series, Cat Kid Comic Club, is written by Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander - the team that brought you DOG MAN: THE MUSICAL!

Buckets N Boards workshops center around teaching children the beginning fundamentals of tap dance, body percussion, beatbox, and drumming. on their own. Gareth Sever graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. Gareth has 25 years of professional performance experience
in theatre and music. He has tap danced for almost 20 years and worked as a vocal coach and instrumental instructor. Matt Levingston graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre from William Jewell College and has been performing professionally for almost 20 years as a comedian and musician. He started playing pots and pans at the age of 3 and has been creating rhythm on everything he finds ever since.
