For a great movie experience you cannot beat attending a film at the Fox.  We are the "State Movie Palace of Kansas" and are pleased to offer a ten-week summer and winter film series, along with a special Holiday film on Christmas night.

Films are shown Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM (unless otherwise indicated).  Tickets may be purchased at the theatre 30 minutes before showtime.

Tickets are $5 - Buy One, Get One FREE!

The Delos V. Smith Senior Citizens Foundation and Center and the Fox Theatre have had a long and supportive relationship.  Delos' love for theatre, film, and the arts and the generous support from his foundation make it a perfect match for naming the film series in his honor.

Thanks to funding provided by the Delos V. Smith Foundation and additional anonymous donations, the Fox will be upgrading its projection system from 35mm film to the current industry standard format of digital projection in January of 2015. Over the past several years the movie distribution industry has switched from shipping titles to theatres on 35mm film to digital content on small, light-weight hard disk drives, saving an incredible amount of money associated with creating and shipping large, heavy film reels to theatres across the country. The Fox has still been using 35mm projectors for film presentation, but with major studios earlier this year announcing the complete discontinuation of the distribution of film, a conversion to digital cinema became unavoidable.

Fortunately the Delos V. Smith Foundation, who also underwrites our summer and winter film series, stepped up with partial funding for the transition, while donations from other anonymous sources will cover the remaining costs of the $125,000 project. The new digital cinema equipment will provide a brighter, clearer picture without the scratces and graininess of 35mm film, along with better sound.

Digital movies will begin with “Jersey Boys” on the weekend of January 23rd.
